Film Camera

Author: Okay,, so I have a film camera for my photo class. I accidentally pressed the rewind button, and the camera lens doesn't open up anymore. Then I opened up the part of the camera where the film is so that I could replace it. What did I do??? By the way, I have a Sure Shot 115u II film camera. @fhotoace: I was assigned that camera by my teacher. Well, I have your answer right here. I don't know how you expect to take a class in photography without a fully adjustable camera like a 35 mm SLR. Did you check with your instructor to see if the Sure Shot 115u meet the requirements for the class? The Sure Shot 115u is a fully automatic camera. I'm a professional photog and I rent my cameras. I'm Considering purchasing a used professional grade Panasonic camera. They all have the hour meter to tell how old they are. How long do they generally last? I don't want one that will die in 6 months. If any one could tell me how many hours they generally last it would be really appreciated. Thanks. Basically… They will last with care until they become obsolete, typically 20 years. most pro cameras die of abuse, they are dropped, set on a tripod that collapses, used in rainstorm. I know of one case where the news photographer took it in the sauna, and when tape refused to roll because of the dew sensor, she pulled out a hair dryer and melted the insides. You should be able to get business insurance to cover most instances of abuse that are result of simple negligence.
